Description

Used for inserting HTML content immediately before each selected element (as a sibling).

Examples

After a string

<div class="box"></div>

$('.box').before('<p>Hello</p>');

The HTML will be updated to:

<p>Hello</p>
<div class="box"></div>

After an HTML element

<div class="box"></div>
